When Sunette Bridges was 14, she wrote her first lyrics for her father — South African music icon and Hall of Fame legend Bles Bridges. Songs like “Still My Lady”, “Broken Heart”, “Daar is Vrede in My”, “Bly By My” and “You” became instant classics.

For more than 40 years she has been writing in both Afrikaans and English, recorded seven solo albums that included 56 of her own songs, and penning hits for artists such as Manie Jackson, Jannie Moolman, Pieter Koen, Ray Dylan (“Ek Wens”), the group Broers, Chereé and American country artists Jordan Pickett.

Bles Bridges was one of South Africa’s most beloved and successful Recording Artists, adored by Afrikaans and English audiences alike. His voice has carried across generations and he left an indelible mark on South African music history.
